Workshop agenda

Here is the agenda for our upcoming workshop in Dunster/McBride, BC. Please note that we have left time for open discussions in the afternoon session, so please come with your management concerns/questions/experiences to share and discuss. We look forward to seeing many of you soon!

Directions to Dunster School
From McBride: Drive east 31 km on Highway 16.  Turn right at the sign to Dunster and drive across the valley. At the T junction turn left, drive past the Dunster General store and the Dunster School will be just down the road on the left.

From Tete Jaune: Drive 37 km west on Highway 16.  Turn left at the sign to Dunster and follow the directions as above.

We hope you can join us in Dunster and McBride July 29-30, 2015 as we discuss whitebark pine management and visit some of the regions most active whitebark pine research, monitoring and restoration sites on McBride peak.

Please follow this link to register. Please note that payment for the workshop ($20) and optional lunches will be collected on the first day of the workshop.

Accommodation information

We are encouraging you to use the services of the locals for lunch at the meeting and for the field trip.  If you are planning on coming please register ASAP so our caterer can get organized.

Dunster
Camping at Dunster School (the meeting venue),which is free for workshop participants:
- three acres of land with large areas of grass for tents, but there is no sani-station for trailers and campers.
- access to indoor washrooms
- one shower is also available inside the school
- there is a double outhouse, a fire-pit, 5-6 large picnic tables around the school-yard, tennis court, baseball area with backstop and a soccer goalposts set up in the grassy area. There are also some swings and a childrens' playground  in the yard.

Whitebark pine workshop in McBride, BC

We are pleased to announce an upcoming 2 day workshop in the beautiful Robson Valley of BC. On July 29-30, 2015 we will host a day of talks in Dunster, BC, followed by a day in the field on McBride Peak. Stay tuned for more information!
