2026 WPEFC Annual General Meeting
The Whitebark Pine Ecosystem Foundation of Canada (WPEFC) invites all members to attend our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in Radium Hot Springs, BC.
The AGM is an opportunity for members to hear about WPEFC’s work and accomplishments over the past year, receive organizational and financial updates, participate in Board elections, and help shape the future of the Foundation.

Members who cannot attend in person will also be able to participate online via Google Meet.
Board Nominations Are Open
Nominations are now being accepted for positions on the WPEFC Board of Directors, including Treasurer and a potential Director-at-Large position.
Board members serve three-year terms and play an important role in WPEFC’s governance, strategic direction, and continued growth.
Candidates must be WPEFC members in good standing and be nominated by another member in good standing.

Member Proposals & Special Resolutions
WPEFC members are also invited to submit member proposals or proposed special resolutions for consideration at the AGM.
Submissions must be received by September 25, 2026 and can be sent to info@whitebarkpine.ca.
Join Us Before the AGM
Members and the public are also invited to join us for Whitebark 101 from 5:30–6:30 PM MT, immediately before the AGM.
This introductory session will explore whitebark and limber pine ecology, the threats facing these important species, and the conservation and restoration work underway across their Canadian ranges.
The AGM also kicks off our 2026 Science & Management Conference: Collaboration for Recovery: Active Management in a Changing Climate, taking place October 14–15 in Radium Hot Springs.
We look forward to bringing our members together, celebrating another year of conservation and restoration, and looking ahead to the future of WPEFC.

Special Resolutions & Member Proposals
Special Resolutions
Certain significant matters affecting the governance or structure of WPEFC must be considered by members through a special resolution. This includes changes to WPEFC’s Constitution or Bylaws and other matters requiring a special resolution under applicable legislation. Any special resolution to be considered at the AGM must be included in the formal notice of the meeting provided to members and must receive the required level of member approval.
Member Proposals
Voting members may submit a matter for consideration at the AGM in accordance with WPEFC’s Bylaws and applicable legislation. A proposal must be supported by the required number of voting members and submitted within the applicable notice period to be included in the AGM notice.
Members wishing to submit a Special Resolution or Member Proposal for consideration at the 2026 AGM must submit it to info@whitebarkpine.ca by September 25, 2026, to allow sufficient time for inclusion in the formal AGM notice to members.
